My Multi-day Cycling Trips
List of Trips

This list links to individual trips, name in bold if documented.

All my cycling trips have been with Bike Adventures. whom I found when I was researching options for a supported LEJOG (Land's End to John O'Groats) trip provided a boxed bike transport service. I was already aware of the potential logistical problems associated with getting a bike to the start and home from the end after abandoning an attempt to get a pre-booked bike onto a packed train. Furthermore, the prospect of trying to lift a bike onto a coat hanger while watching over my other baggage was unappealing.

I looked upon the LEJOG as being a personal challenge. However, after discovering that I enjoyed the organised group rides then I became keen on doing more and have, so far, kept to what is being offered by Bike Adventures. Cycling is much better than using a larger vehicle for exploring unfamiliar places and admiring the scenery and other items of interest. It's usually very easy to stop, admire and take photos.

After reading other people's blogs which are usually in reverse date order, I tried to structure mine in chronological order with links to each day. The photos, which can sometimes be many, are presented separately rather than built into the text, but should be in sequence according to time. While best viewed on a big screen (with two columns side by side), the page design should enable viewing as a single column on a phone screen. Click on a photo to load a gallery which can be stepped through.
